"This particular record is an ode to the raw style of Hip-Hop that I grew up listening to, even with the title being a familiar phrase for those that follow the Wu-Tang Clan and what they represent as legendary lyricists. I noticed that people kind of started categorizing me as a 'peaceful, jazz rapper' after the release of Broken Dreams last year and I don't necessarily identify with that title as much as people would think. “Sharpen The Sword” is pretty much an open declaration to those that got too comfortable with that one specific style."
